Common Questions

FAQ — Fishing & Snorkeling Combo

What snorkeling spots do you use?

Usually Santa María Bay or Chileno Bay — both protected, calm and full of marine life. The captain picks the clearest option on the day based on wind and swell conditions.

Is there a fee for snorkeling equipment?

Basic snorkel masks and fins are included in the trip price at no extra charge. If you'd prefer a full set — mask + snorkel + fins — you can rent on board for $15 USD per set, paid to the crew the morning of the trip. Completely optional.

How is time split between fishing and snorkeling?

Typically 3.5–4.5 hours of fishing followed by 45–60 minutes snorkeling. If underwater visibility isn't great, the captain extends fishing time — so you always get the best experience possible.

Is this trip good for kids and first-timers?

Yes, absolutely. We carry life jackets in all sizes and our crews are experienced with families and first-time anglers. Share your group's ages when booking and we'll recommend the ideal boat and snorkeling spot.

Can we add Catch & Cook after the trip?

Yes. We'll clean your catch at the dock and send you to one of our partner restaurants where they'll cook it to your preference the same day. The cooking fee is paid directly at the restaurant.

What should we bring?

Hat, reef-safe sunscreen, towel, swimwear and a light jacket for the early morning. We provide fishing tackle, basic snorkel masks, water and ice. Feel free to bring extra drinks, snacks or a camera.

Are fishing licenses and live bait included?

No — fishing licenses ($20 USD per person) and live bait ($30–40 USD total per trip) are purchased separately at the marina the morning of your trip. We assist you with the process on arrival.

Is this the same as a regular fishing charter?

No — this is a dedicated combo trip combining fishing and snorkeling. For pure fishing charters (full-day offshore, inshore-only, half-day), see our Fishing Charters page — those trips do not include a snorkeling stop.
