Every Cabo fishing trip is different. The right boat for a solo angler chasing striped marlin in January is not the right boat for a family of 6 wanting a slam attempt in July. This tool runs your inputs through Daliken's regional knowledge to give you a starting point. Adjust any answer to see the recommendation update in real time.

How the Recommendations Work

Why These Are
The Right Picks for Your Trip

The tool above runs your inputs through three layers of regional knowledge that Daliken has built across years of operating from Puerto Los Cabos Marina.

Layer 1: Month determines species in season

Cabo's fishery shifts dramatically across the year. Winter (November to April) is striped marlin and wahoo season at Pacific banks. Summer (May to October) is blue marlin, sailfish, dorado, and roosterfish across the Sea of Cortez. The tool maps your travel month to the species realistically available.

Layer 2: Species + month determines zones

Once we know what is biting, we know where. Striped marlin push to Golden Gate and San Jaime banks in winter. Blue marlin concentrate at Outer Gordo and Iman in summer. Roosterfish stay close to East Cape beaches. Each species has its preferred zones, and we route accordingly.

Layer 3: Group size + duration determines boat

The 23ft Super Panga ($270) is perfect for 1 to 4 anglers on a standard 8 hour trip. The 26ft Super Panga ($350) adds comfort and stability for 5 to 6 anglers. The 28ft Habanero ($450) is required for 7 to 8 anglers, extended Pacific banks trips, or dedicated slam attempts that need the range and stability.

Frequently Asked

Trip Planning
FAQ

Are these prices final?
The prices shown are starting rates per boat (not per person). Final pricing depends on trip duration, season, and any add-ons. The WhatsApp button sends your selections to Austin for a final quote with exact availability and pricing.
What if my month is a transition season?
Shoulder seasons (April to May, October to November) often have multiple species overlapping. The tool will recommend the most reliable target for your month, but the actual day on the water often produces a mix of species. Daliken captains adapt to what is biting.
Can I change the recommendation after I see it?
Absolutely. The recommendation is a starting point based on statistical averages. If you have specific goals (a particular species, a specific zone, a tournament-style approach), discuss them with Austin via WhatsApp. We customize trips constantly.
Does the recommendation guarantee catches?
No. Even the best matching of month, species, zone, and boat cannot guarantee fish on any given day. What the recommendation does is maximize your probability of success. Fishing remains fishing.
What is included in the price?
All Daliken charter prices include: boat, captain, mate, federal Mexican fishing licenses for the party, fuel, ice, basic tackle, water, and the bait load appropriate for the trip. Tips for crew and food or drinks are typically arranged separately.
I need a larger boat (9 or more anglers, or premium yacht)
This tool is optimized for groups up to 8 anglers. For larger groups or premium yacht options (Abamar 33ft, Tiara 35ft, Riviera 43ft, Cabo 48ft) please WhatsApp Austin directly with your group size and dates for a custom quote.
