Captain Tips: Best Techniques Right Now
- For tuna (Iman): keep a steady troll to locate fish, then switch to live bait or chunking when we mark them. Be ready for multiple hook-ups.
- For mahi mahi (La Fortuna): trolling smaller lures/feathers around current lines and floating structure is producing consistent bites.
- For wahoo: high-speed trolling and wire leaders help — bites are aggressive and fast.
- For black marlin: larger baits and patience. When the right window opens, it can be a true trophy opportunity.
Conservation Note (Daliken Standard)
We believe in keeping fishing strong for the future.
We recommend taking only what you need and practicing catch & release whenever possible—especially on trophy fish.
We never “restrict” guests, but if you want to collaborate with conservation, it makes a real difference for future generations and for the long-term health of our fishery.
