Cabo Fishing
Spot Finder
Pick the species you want to catch. Get the productive Cabo zones, the peak season months, the recommended boat, and the right technique for that target.
Different species concentrate in different zones at different times of year. The Outer Gordo Banks productive for blue marlin in July are dead water for striped marlin in January. This tool maps the right spot to the right target based on the regional knowledge Daliken has built across years of operating from Puerto Los Cabos Marina.

Cabo has 13 distinct productive fishing zones within 70 miles of Puerto Los Cabos Marina. Each zone has its own depth profile, current pattern, bottom structure, and dominant species. Understanding which zones produce which species in which months is the difference between a productive day and a frustrating one.
The four zone types
Sea of Cortez zones (Gordo Banks, Iman) are typically 8-15 miles offshore, calm water, year-round productive. East Cape zones (Las Frailes, Vinorama, Punta Pescadero, Boca de Salado) hug the coast for roosterfish and inshore species. Pacific zones (Golden Gate, San Jaime, 95 Spot, Finger Bank) are 25-50 miles offshore, more weather-dependent, prime for striped marlin and trophy yellowfin. Inshore zones (Punta Gorda, Cabo Falso) work with light tackle and short runs.
